Blending a wide variety of recognizable folk, rock and country classics with unique originals, Tom Compa, largely influenced by his big brother Larry, is a self-taught strummer and writer whose lyrical content is based on a strong desire to bring peace and love to an entire planet. A tall order but undertaken nonetheless through songs both introspective and brazen in their need to bring joy to a troubled world. Make no mistake Tom understands the chance of him attaining success in this venture hinges entirely on human beings learning to find love in their own hearts, share that love with friends and family, tolerate those who oppose the power of peace and enlighten those ignorant of the effect peace and love can have on those around them.
By demonstrating a strong commitment to principles gleaned from a lifetime of watching the world struggle with war, starvation, greed, pestilence and downright meanness Tom actively writes songs describing peace and love from a universal standpoint and a personal standpoint, from relationships between lovers, parents and children to strangers meeting randomly and falling in love at first sight and the need for people everywhere of all walks of life to rejoice in the uniqueness of being human, of having a heart and finding your soul and enjoying the gift of life.
Tom has been playing and writing music since he was a teen and enjoying every minute of it. His musical journey began in the the 60's and continues to evolve today.
