Through his music Cantor Elon echoes the changing moods of the people of Israel, their hopes, their yearnings, their pain, their joy, and their soaring spirit.
He reaches deep into the tradition, into the riches of the past, takes the tart and the poignant songs of the present and weaves both strands into the fabric of Israel's synagogue lifesong.
A Cantor of great professionalism and versatility, Gadi Elon has performed in the roles of Cantor (Hazan), singer, balladeer, folk singer and actor. It is this wide range of experience that brings the quality of dramatic intensity to his performance. While no stranger to the concert stage, Cantor Elon is the newest member to join "THE THREE CANTORS". His intensity and joie de vivre, make him a perfect match for the group.
Cantor Elon was also a member of the delegation of Cantors who went to Rome where they joined the largest group of world Jewish Leaders in an historic meeting with Pope John Paul the ll. During this meeting the Cantors sang a blessing for the Pope.
