Greenbaum's master classes are unique as flutists learn to bridge the gap between folk and classical as well as learning a new genre.Being a pioneer in reviving the art of klezmer flute performance has garnered invitations to be guest artist for many flute organizations in the US, in the UK, and, most recently, in France. In addition, her performances on the simple system flute offer a special look into historic performance practices of both classical and klezmer of the 19th century.
Adrianne's classical training and experience ranks with the finest in the flute scene. She received her Bachelors in Music from the Oberlin College Conservatory and her Masters degree from the Yale School of Music, studying with Robert Willoughby and Thomas Nyfenger respectively. She has performed as soloist and orchestral musician in all of New York’s major concert halls and in many major cities of the U.S. She has appeared with such orchestras as New York’s Mostly Mozart Festival (as soloist), the Berlin Ballet at the Met (as principal flutist), the Period Orchestra of the Fairfield Academy, and for many years performed with the New York City Ballet Orchestra.
