Kurt Weill wass a composer. Born March 2, 1900 in Dessau (German Empire, now Germany) in the family of Albert Weil, the cantor of the local synagogue and the author of liturgical music.
In 1918-1924 he studied in Berlin. From 1927 he collaborated with the poet and playwright Bertolt Brecht, on the libretto of which he wrote several zong-operas, including The Threepenny Opera (1928). In 1933, after the Nazis came to power in Germany, together with his family fled to France. In 1935 he immigrated to the United States, where he made his debut in 1937 with the biblical drama The Way of the Vow directed by Max Reinhardt. In 1946, commissioned by the American League for the Liberation of Palestine, he composed music for Ben Geht’s “The Birth of the Flag” (directed by Luther Adler).

Are there any movies or photos of max kletter? His wife’s sister was my stepmother, so I’m interested in seeing them and sharing them with his wife’s daughter.
The article says Sheb recorded his last song just 4 days before he died, but does not tell us the name of it. I be curious what it was. I’d like to hear it.
