FAQ’S

What Does SAVE THE MUSIC Do With Your Records?

We catalog, clean, digitize, and make these recordings available online at savethemusic.com.

IN ADDITION, we include words, transliteration and translation, music notation, historical context and biographies of the performers and authors, when possible.

What is Save the Music looking for?

SAVE THE MUSIC seeks traditional Jewish and Latin American Folk music in any language or format and from any era.

Currently our archives include songs in Yiddish, Ladino, Hebrew, English, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Polish.

We always seek new material in different languages.

We mainly restore and digitize of LP’s. However, we are equipped to process any type of vinyl, cassette or digital media.

We also seek sheet music for these songs or any form of background material that may help place these songs in an appropriate context.

What is Save the Music Not Looking For?

Our efforts are concentrated on forms of music in need of saving.

Therefore, we do not accept donations of modern music and most forms of recently mass-produced music.
